My name is Jenna and I’m the creative hands behind Some Wear Wild.

I live and create in Palmer, Alaska.

I was born and raised in Homer on the Kenai Peninsula. For as long as I can remember, summers were spent working on fishing boats and calling the mountains of Kachemak Bay my playground. My family lived seasonally in the native villages of western Alaska, 2 hours flight from the road system, where my Dad was a village school teacher. Together we fished, hunted and joined my Dad’s winter trapline to live a subsistence lifestyle and make memories doing it.

After decades spent in the native villages of the lower Yukon River, my Dad now runs a business sourcing Moose antlers from the Yup’ik Alaskans in rural villages of western Alaska. His understanding of the the land and indigenous people of the Yukon-Delta has made it possible to efficiently operate out of such an isolated part of the state. His driving passion is to support families in the remotest areas with no industry by putting value on a renewable resource that costs them nothing. This partnership between him and the people of the Yukon has fueled his motivation to run business out of Alaska.

And now it fuels mine too.

I love taking the rugged and strong antlers found on Alaska’s hills and tundras and turning them into unique and thoughtfully crafted pieces.

Its only fitting that I add a touch of the wild to our wardrobes.
